The problem
A brief outage can leave
a long trail of questions.
By the time someone investigates, the connection may be working again.
Was it Wi-Fi, the local network, power, the ISP, or the wider Internet? The product is being developed around a simple goal: gather useful evidence close to the user so those conversations can begin with better context.
Planned approach / Subject to development and validation
Observe locally.
Build a clearer picture over time.
Context for interruptions
Planned measurements to help isolate whether an issue involves Wi-Fi, the local network, power, the ISP, or the wider Internet.
Evidence when it matters
Local event capture, power-event detection, and battery-backed operation are design goals intended to preserve useful context during interruptions.
Built from monitoring experience
An established perspective.
A new product direction.
The concept builds on decades of enterprise monitoring and observability experience and earlier distributed lightweight-probe monitoring approaches used in enterprise environments.
